Since 2018, Manos Que Sobreviven (MQS) has operated as an independent, autonomous development platform dedicated to advancing public value, health equity, and socio-economic self-sufficiency across Los Angeles and its surrounding regional transit corridors. Guided by an unconditional love for the needy and a profound respect for vulnerable humanity, MQS transforms shared community assets into secure, barrier-free educational sanctuaries designed to permanently stabilize the modern family structure.

Our institution acts as a highly efficient logistical anchor, protecting vulnerable children, low-income seniors, unhoused neighbors, and individuals living with severe physical disabilities, with a mandatory focus on the socio-economic empowerment of Indigenous, African American, Latina American, Undocumented, and multicultural women.

A Unified Ecosystem of Regional Impact

We execute our public interest mandates through three mathematically precise, structurally interconnected master initiatives:

​

• The Community Dignity & Women’s Empowerment Initiative: Breaking cycles of systemic poverty through bilingually adaptive vocational modules, financial literacy, and ESL acquisition.

• The Food Sovereignty and Community Ancestral Health Initiative: Transitioning families from passive dependency to active self-reliance through urban agriculture, nutritional literacy, and ancestral wellness frameworks.

• The Pan y Leche Program (PLP): Deploying critical emergency relief and stabilization pipelines directly onto the street level.

Strategic Coalitions & Institutional Validation

The efficiency and continuous scalability of our platform are powered by a unified system of existing networks. We orchestrate direct supply chains alongside major metropolitan food distribution networks, including the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Hollywood Food Coalition, and Food For Health. Furthermore, we bridge the public health gap by integrating on-site, fully free clinical nursing services and specialized wellness training in an active partnership with QueensCare Clinic Health Centers [1.8].

Fully validated and co-funded by prominent civic leaders and premium medical frameworks, including the office of Council District 13 (Hugo Soto-Martínez), Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), L.A. Más, and the Rainbow Sandals Foundation our infrastructure successfully distributed 175,426 pounds of vital nutrition and directly protected 37,296 unique individuals between 2025 and 2026.

Evolving Toward Infrastructural Independence

To fully insulate our operations from localized institutional friction and temporary lease parameters, MQS is currently executing its Master Plan for Infrastructural Independence. We are actively seeking corporate property donations, long-term County contracts, and major capital investments to build an autonomous, state-of-the-art facility featuring ADA-compliant design, advanced processing kitchens, and commercial transit fleets powered by Amazon Flex logistics.
